Welcome to Enchanted!

Thank you for your interest in Enchanted!  We are a locally owned yarn shop with a touch of something extra!  Our store opened in Clarksville, TN  in April of 2011 and have been busy bees changing, bringing in new ideas and departments to fit our customers’ needs.  The interest lies in making the shop a safe and fun environment.  We possess friendly customer service, an unique look and an inspiration circle that is always open to anyone who wants to work on a project, eat lunch or simply visit with us and relax.

Classes are also offered!  The first beginning knit or crochet lesson is FREE!  Don’t hesitate to try something new.  There are several teachers who are anxious to teach our Newbies.  Contact the shop at 931.553.9000 to schedule your time!  The fun doesn’t stop there as there are more classes to further advance you as a stitch artist.  Times and availability are flexible to meet your needs.  We expand from there and also offer classes in other fiber arts such as felting, nuno felting, spinning and weaving.  There is so much you can do with fiber and we can’t wait to inspire you!

There are several shop creative groups that are already established and open to anyone who wishes to join.  Currently we have: Tuesday Group – meets around 1:ish (open to all crafts)

Thursday – Unwind and Relax – meets 5:ish till closing  *This is also an open group to fiber artists.  It is a fun and relaxing environment for adults only.  Perfect group to make new friends!

Friday – Family Night – meets 5:ish till closing  *This is a open group to all fiber artists and beyond!  It’s a great time to bring your family and meet with other like-minded crafters.  Bring your projects and make some new contacts.  Also, the first Friday of the month, we invite all to bring a covered dish for Potluck Night.

Third Saturday of Month – Enchanted Hookers – 1:00pm  *Rug hooking at its finest!  If you ever wanted to learn or check out this craft, feel free to show up!

Last Saturday of Month – Block of the Month Club – 10:00 Crochet  11:00 Knit  *This is a FREE class/demo with purchase of yarn from our store.  We will be creating a 12×12 block each month ending with 11 squares at the end of this year.  The last block will be a free style and will make a lovely heirloom lap throw.  Make plans to attend this class!

We do have interest in a Spinning Group, a Mom’s Brunch and we need a leader to host a monthly Crafty.com Meetup.  If you are interested in establishing times for these or have a group that you want to bring to the shop, feel free to contact us at 931.553.9000.

The launch of our new Domestic Arts Emporium will be on Thursday, January 26th, at our Craftsy.com Meetup party.  This is a public event and encourage you to check us out.  This new department came to the owner, RoLynn Thornton, as she noticed the need to share the wonderful art of domesticity with special classes taught by those with a passion to instruct others who are interested in establishing a loving and creative home.

OUR MISSION

Enchanted is to supply a bridge from day-to-day home responsibilities to valuable resources that show us the creative possibilities.  Whether we see ourselves as knitters, gardeners, bakers, scrapbookers or if we lack the confidence to try something new, Enchanted will furnish the knowledge and ‘how to’ in order to create a fulfillment in self.  We recognize the value of homemaking, overlooked skills and ordinary things.  These skills play an important role in the home and community as we create positive environments for our families and friends.  Our homes portray the most intimate part of who we are as a person and Enchanted wants others to feel confident in the desire to make a beautiful home.  We want to make it understood that it doesn’t take ‘things’ to make something beautiful.  It’s how we make a place cozy and safe with generosity, confidence and inviting manners.  If  homemakers (that includes everyone who has a space, regardless of gender or if we work outside of the home) are content with the bridge between our domestic skills and our ability to create beautiful things, the fulfillment reaches out and encourages families, friends, communities and beyond.
